The Moscone Center
The Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco is a prominent convention center located in the heart of the city. Divided into three sections, Moscone North, South and West, the center offers more than 700,000 square feet of exhibit space; 123,000 square feet of pre-event lobbies; and 106 meeting rooms. Moscone West, built in 2003, is a freestanding building located adjacent to InterContinental San Francisco hotel. The largest exhibit space at Moscone Center is located at Moscone South. The single space offers approximately 260,560 square feet. Moscone Center was named in memoriam in 1978 after former San Francisco Mayor George Moscone who was fatally shot while in office.
